The Metropolitan Community College Foundation, established in 1976, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that exists to advance the mission of Metropolitan Community College through philanthropy, advocacy, and volunteerism. Our mission is to positively transform lives in the Greater Kansas City region by improving access to an MCC education and enhancing the overall college experience. In doing so, the MCC Foundation partners with individuals and organizations providing philanthropic investment in scholarships, academic programs and campus resources.
More than thirty community leaders generously volunteer their time, talent, and resources by serving on the MCC Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation maintains more than 160 named scholarships and academic support funds, created by generous donors, which provide ongoing support to students and academic/extracurricular programs MCC.
